Symmes Elementary School educates students ranging from pre-kindergarten to fourth grade within the public school’s district. The project renovated + added new space to the existing one-story school.

The design + construction team took a phased approach in order to begin construction prior to summer break and maintain construction completion deadlines. Additions were constructed with concrete masonry units (CMU), structural steel + steel joists.

The elementary school was a part of a district master plan. Schaefer also designed the high school renovation, new junior + intermediate schools, Symmes Elementary School renovation + addition, and the stadium’s concessions building.
