The new Miami University Clinical Health Sciences + Wellness facility is comprised of three wings, bringing three academic programs + three clinics under one roof.
The north wing houses academic programs: speech pathology + audiology, the bachelor of science in nursing program, and the master of medical science/physician associate studies program.
The center wing houses offices + research labs.
The south wing houses wellness centers + studios, student counseling, and the speech + hearing clinic.
The team utilized composite steel framing + cold-formed steel trusses, and designed the new building in accordance with LEED Silver certification. They navigated design challenges including large spans across open areas; atriums; and other unique architectural area layouts.
