Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) named Schaefer the first place winner of its Pinnacle Awards Holiday Piece category. Awards were announced on April 25. 2024 at the organization’s Heartland Regional Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Our 2023 holiday campaign, Share S’more Kindness, spotlighted mental health awareness, and benefitted National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) chapters in our hometowns.

Throughout 2023, Schaefer embarked on an internal mental wellness campaign; our holiday campaign complemented the positive work we’d done. We encouraged clients to share kindness + post their experiences on our kindness feed (hosted on our website). For each post, we donated $20 to National Alliance on Mental Illness. In January 2024, we announced our $7220 donation.

Keeping on theme, gifts were s’mores kits curated from small, minority + women-led businesses. Our card married s’mores + engineering; it detailed a s’more in a “Revit” environment. Our team members write personal messages to each card recipient, and in the mindset of continuous improvement, in 2023 we added a QR code to give the card recipient an opportunity to respond to the Schaefer sender.

SMPS Pinnacle Awards recognize marketing communication excellence across six categories including corporate identity, internal communications, promotional campaign, recruitment + retention, and special event besides holiday piece.
