The historic Cincinnati Enquirer headquarters was renovated + repurposed into a dual brand hotel – guest rooms for Homewood Suites by Hilton Cincinnati-Downtown are on floors 4-8, and guest rooms for Hampton Inn + Suites Cincinnati-Downtown are on floors 9-14.

On the lower floors, the hotels have both shared + individually branded spaces. The first floor valet + retail spaces center around a grand stair that leads to the second floor. There, guests can enjoy a fitness center, business center, and hotel-specific check-in and lounge areas. The third floor houses meeting spaces and a bar.

Structural challenges included creating new openings and reinforcing the existing structure for higher loading, while minimizing the amount of modifications necessary as to prevent a code-required seismic upgrade to the building.
