Schaefer is the structural engineer for new Grandview Crossing, designing residential, retail + parking. The site is partially located on a former landfill, which posed foundation strength and settlement challenges.

Residents can choose from 1000+ apartments available across three buildings: The Thomas, 8 on the Park + Midpoint West. Residents + visitors alike have access to retail.

Pedestrian bridges connect housing to parking structures. The new standalone garage was constructed with post-tensioned concrete. An adjacent garage that will share foundations + ramping is currently under construction. Schaefer collaborated with the Geopier Foundation Company to design economical shallow foundations supported by their proprietary ground improvement system.
