The new SanMar distribution center is located in the highly seismic city of Spanish Springs, Nevada. The building is comprised of the popular west coast hybrid roof system (a mixture of steel joists and wood decking and sub-purlins), along with exterior tilt-up walls. It features a mezzanine in the northern quarter of the building.

All designs were based on the new IBC 2012 code with a Seismic Design Category D. This project included a wood/steel hybrid roof system with no expansion joints, as well as a newly renovated high seismic tilt-up wall design.
