National Advanced Air Mobility Center of Excellence (NAAMCE)
Springfield, Ohio

Schaefer provided the structural engineering design for a new development at the Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport. The NAAMCE provides space for public + private organizations focused on advanced air mobility technology progress.

Schaefer provided the foundation design for the supplied pre-engineered metal building. About half of the building houses offices, labs + meeting spaces. The other half is an airplane hangar. Because of the very large hangar doors on a rail system, large foundations were required to accommodate the size + motion of them.

Schaefer also provided structural design for a two-story entrance leading into the offices. It was designed as conventionally-framed steel construction.
