Schaefer was recognized as the first place winner in the Holiday Piece category for the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Marketing Communication Awards.

Schaefer’s 2019 holiday campaign encouraged community building – an important purpose for our firm. Working with local bakers, the Schaefer team delivered kits of undecorated sugar cookies with packaged icing + sprinkles to clients, who were asked to send/post photos on social media of their teams decorating cookies together. For every cookie they decorated, Schaefer donated $2 to Technology Student Association, a non-profit providing STEM resources to middle + high schools. Together, we donated our $4032.

The awards were announced on October 8 at this year’s virtual SMPS Build Business. SMPS calls its Marketing Communication Awards “the longest-standing, most prestigious awards competition that recognizes excellence in marketing communications produced by professional services firms in the design and building industry.” The competition, open to members and non-members, features a variety of submittal categories that cover most promotional activity initiatives A/E/C marketers pursue.

Schaefer previously announced it was named as a finalist for the awards. The team also won two Marketing Communication Awards in 2019 and two in 2018.
