Schaefer took home two wins at the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Marketing Communications Awards. The marketing team’s submittals in the two categories of Video (External) and Recruitment and Retention Communications (Mixed Media) competed against the submittals of firms located across the country. Winners were announced at SMPS’s national convention, Build Business, in San Diego, California on August 16, 2018.

The “Work at Schaefer” video, featured on the Careers page of our website, continues to track well with potential new hires. It led to 24% more resumes submitted and sixteen new team members at the time of the award submission. It was also recognized with a Telly Award.

The Recruitment and Retention Communications submittal included an updated careers portal on our website, our recruiting video, email connections throughout the interview process, and welcome kits. The pieces are geared toward putting the right information in front of a potential new hire at the time that they need it and showing our culture of open communication before they even join the team.

SMPS calls its Marketing Communication Awards “the longest-standing, most prestigious awards competition that recognizes excellence in marketing communications produced by professional services firms in the design and building industry.” The competition, open to members and non-members, features a variety of submittal categories that cover most promotional activity initiatives A/E/C marketers pursue.

Schaefer previously announced it was named as a finalist for the two awards.
