Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) named Schaefer a finalist for two of its Marketing Communication Awards categories: Video (External) and Recruitment and Retention Communications (Mixed Media).

Schaefer’s marketing team submitted our “Work at Schaefer” video that’s featured on the Careers page of our website. The recruiting and culture focused video led to 24% more resumes submitted and welcomes sixteen new team members at the time of the award submission. The video has also been recognized with a Telly Award.

Our Recruitment and Retention Communications submission included an updated careers portal on our website, our recruiting video, email connections throughout the interview process, and our welcome kits. The goal is to give prospective team members the information they need  at the appropriate time, to maintain regular communication and to excite confirmed team members for what lies ahead for them at Schaefer.

SMPS calls its Marketing Communication Awards “the longest-standing, most prestigious awards competition that recognizes excellence in marketing communications produced by professional services firms in the design and building industry.” The competition, open to members and non-members, features a variety of submittal categories that cover most promotional activity initiatives A/E/C marketers pursue.

There are three finalists per category with overall winners announced August 1 at SMPS Build Business in San Diego, California. We previously took home Merit Awards for Video (External) and Direct-Mail categories.
