Schaefer was recognized as the first place winner in two Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Marketing Communication Awards categories: Holiday Piece (Mixed Media) and Internal Communications (Mixed Media).

Schaefer’s 2018 holiday campaign encouraged community building – an important purpose for our firm. Holiday cards featured one of five festive beverage recipes, gifts gave the ingredients to enjoy one of the recipes, and the e-card showed our team enjoying them together.

The internal campaign was designed to maintain open communication throughout Schaefer’s headquarters relocation. The team used video, email, intranet, a move room, progress photos, a suggestion box, live Q+A sessions, and other tactics to encourage two-way communication and cultivate excitement.

The awards were announced on August 1 at SMPS Build Business in Washington, DC. SMPS calls its Marketing Communication Awards “the longest-standing, most prestigious awards competition that recognizes excellence in marketing communications produced by professional services firms in the design and building industry.” The competition, open to members and non-members, features a variety of submittal categories that cover most promotional activity initiatives A/E/C marketers pursue.

Schaefer previously announced it was named as a finalist for the awards. The team also won two Marketing Communication Awards in 2018.
