Schaefer Principal Jeff Bolchalk, PE, SE joins the Leadership Columbus Signature Program Class of 2024. Every year, roughly five dozen Greater Columbus professionals are chosen to participate in the program focused on building leadership skills, connections and a commitment to enhancing their shared community. As current + future local leaders, the program challenges the group to think bigger – to actively engage in the challenges plaguing our community, and to collaborate towards solutions on causes that align with their passions.

The class meets monthly throughout the 10-month program; each meeting highlights a different topic from personal leadership style to the local justice system + public safety. Participants also form small groups to complete a community impact project in collaboration with a non-profit to help address a specific need.

Jeff is not the first Schaefer team member to participate in the program. Schaefer Project Manager Larry Paxton, PE is a Leadership Columbus Class of 2023 alumnus; Schaefer Executive Vice President Ryan Konst, PE, CPSM is a Leadership Columbus Class of 2015 alumnus; and Schaefer President Greg Riley PE, SE is a Leadership Cincinnati Class 42 alumnus.

Those interested in the program must complete a thorough application process and be selected by Leadership Columbus based on leadership, commitment to community, and interest in personal + professional development. The organization has the “goal of assembling a cohort of leaders that reflects a passion for community building and represents the diversity of our community.”
