University of Findlay’s Center for Student Life and College of Business is not only a home to the business college, but also a central hub for students of all majors. The new, two story facility is mixed-use. The College of Business needs are fulfilled with classrooms, seminar rooms, an investment trading room, incubator lab and offices. The Center for Student Life needs are fulfilled with the Center of Civic Engagement, a bookstore, student leadership development suite, campus communications center, convenience retailers and spaces to gather.

The structural system included one elevated level of composite slab on metal deck over composite structural steel beams. The two story open gathering space was framed with custom long span trusses with curved top and bottom chords that not only supported the roof, but made for an impactful architectural detail.
