Dublin Parking Garage, a public project, solves two needs – it has city parking for nearby restaurants and shops, and provides dedicated parking for the Columbus Metropolitan Library located adjacent to it. The new garage stands four stories with 550 parking spaces (200 of which are reserved for library patrons during operating hours). 

Schaefer provided the structural engineering design and parking services including parking layout, striping and car counts. The team determined cast-in-place, post-tensioned concrete construction on shallow spread footings to be the best option, and designed the garage with three pedestrian and two vehicular entrances, and a book drop.
