17 North Industrial Park
Phoenix, Arizona

17 North Industrial Park, or 17N, consists of two new Class A warehouse buildings. Schaefer provided the structural engineering design for buildings 1 + 2.

Building 1 is a build-to-suit manufacturing facility spanning 110,400 sq ft with 32 ft clear heights. Building 2 is a speculative industrial facility spanning 50,320 sq ft with 28 ft clear heights. Schaefer also provided Building 1’s structural design improvements for process manufacturing and Building 2’s interior tenant improvements post-shell building design.

Supply + procurement challenges led to the team’s research of multiple structural product options and material environmental exposure impacts + repairs. It was determined to construct both structures with
tilt-up concrete walls + hybrid panelized wood roofs.

  • Good Afternoon,
Is there a location where local subcontractors can see what GCs are building these projects to bid with?

    • Hi Adam, we only provide structural engineering services so we aren’t a part of the general contractors’ subcontractors selection processes.
