Schaefer, a 48-year-old structural engineering firm, announced the relocation of its local team members to 235 North Fourth Street in the Warehouse District. As Schaefer’s Columbus office continues to grow, it requires a larger space to accommodate future projections. The team will begin working out of its new office in March 2025. The 90+ person structural engineering firm headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio has held a local presence in Columbus, Ohio since 2006; the new space will be the fourth office that Schaefer has inhabited since then, relocating to larger spaces in alignment with local growth.

“When we opened our first Columbus office in 2006, it was the first physical presence our firm held outside of our headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. We grew our team with individuals who share our values, and we grew our local portfolio with a commitment to smart structures, business practices, and community partnerships. In our new Columbus office, we look forward to welcoming even more creative individuals who share in our mission to deliver smart structures every day,” said Schaefer President Greg Riley.

Schaefer will occupy the entire 6800 sq ft space on the top floor of the three-story building with views of the downtown skyline. Team members will enjoy an open concept office with several spaces for closed, collaborative work. They’ll have access to two shared amenity spaces: a rooftop with sweeping views of downtown, and a multi-use first floor space for team trainings + to welcome clients. With a focus on growth, the new space is designed to accommodate double the amount of current local team members.

Schaefer currently resides at 937 West 3rd Avenue in the Grandview neighborhood. The firm also has offices in Cincinnati, Ohio + Phoenix, Arizona, and designs permanent and temporary structures nationally.
