Schaefer provided the structural engineering for this $78 million first phase which includes 161 apartments, 80,000 sq ft of retail space and 40,000 sq ft of professional space – built adjacent to the University of Cincinnati campus. Also, two new city-owned parking garages were constructed, containing more than 700 spaces. A diverse array of distinct structural systems were used, including post-tensioned concrete, two-way reinforced concrete slab, composite structural steel framing, bar joist framing, and multi-story wood construction.
