Maricopa Water District’s new office has space for individual work + to gather. The single-story building was constructed with CMU walls and a wood roof, and highlights exposed glulam elements in the main entry space.

For architectural interest, the main entry at the center of the building features a double cantilever high roof structure. Inside, the higher ceiling height extends across the reception + conference area.

To accommodate a request to avoid columns at the exterior corners of the building, the team designed double cantilevered walls, and used shoring to hold the walls together while the grout cured.
