1. Favorite thing to do off the clock?

My favorite thing is to watch/cheer/coach my kids in their various sports + activities. If there’s any time left, I would use it playing golf.

2. What would you do with $1 million?

I would pay off our house and invest the rest so that I could retire earlier + play golf.

3. Favorite sports and teams?

For college sports, my favorite is University of Cincinnati football + basketball, and professionally is the Cincinnati Bengals. I’ve also become a big fan of lacrosse with the kids playing it.

4. Meet my family.

My wife’s name is Lynn and we have two kids: a son, Ben + a daughter, Bella.

5. What is the most extreme thing you have ever done?

I don’t know that it’s the most extreme thing, but it was really cool. On vacation in St. Thomas, I went flyboarding. It was challenging to figure it out, but I picked it up fairly quick and got pretty high in the air.

6. What’s your signature dish to cook for family and friends?

I do a variety of things: chili for work, omelet for breakfast, enchiladas for dinner at home and steaks + chicken on the grill.

7. What’s your greatest accomplishment?

My family – spending time with them and watching what my kids can do.

8. Fun fact about yourself.

At 53 years old, I have never had a cavity!

9. What about Schaefer gets you to jump out of bed in the morning?

The work + the people.
