1. Favorite thing to do off the clock?
My family + I love spending time in the kitchen with each other, learning how to make recipes from scratch.
2. Favorite sports and teams?
Ohio State to make me happy, Cleveland Browns to keep me humble.
3. What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Someone looking over my shoulder.
4. What is the most extreme thing you have ever done?
Switching my college major my third year in college from pre-med/pre-physical therapy to civil engineering.
5. What’s your signature dish to cook for family and friends?
There are too many to list… smoked brisket/ribs, grilled chimichurri flank steak pinwheels, lamb chops, tomato sauce + homemade meatballs…we can never decide on a favorite.
6. If you weren’t in structural engineering, what would you be?
I would be in something with numbers, maybe an accountant or something in finance.
7. Fun fact about yourself.
My great-grandfather patented the lint trap on the dryer.
8. What would you sing at karaoke?
Let me think about that, I’ll be right back *running away*.
9. If you could design a structure anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Let’s go bigger, I’d like to do one on a different planet.
10. What market/material is your specialty and why?
Steel is my specialty because it’s strong, adaptable, long-lasting, predictable and easier to modify after installation.
