Congratulation to Schaefer Executive Vice President Ryan Konst, PE, CPSM (+ now FSMPS) who has been recognized as a Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Fellow.

What’s an SMPS Fellow?

Let’s start with what’s SMPS – SMPS is the premier marketing + business development organization for the architecture/engineering/construction (A/E/C) industry. It’s national reach provides marketers opportunities to learn + grow in their own careers, and also to make an impact on the profession + industry as a whole. Ryan first joined SMPS as a member of the Columbus, Ohio chapter in 2008, and has since attended +/or presented at SMPS local, regional + national events across the country.

Anyone applying to become an SMPS Fellow must have a few baseline qualifications: 15 years of A/E/C +/or marketing experience, 10 years as an SMPS member, and a current CPSM (certified professional services marketer certification). Beyond that, applicants must explain the positive contributions they’ve made to SMPS + marketing in the A/E/C community. A Fellows Jury reviews all applications.

Why did Ryan become an SMPS Fellow?

Schaefer encourages continuous improvement among all its team members; reaching this next level of leadership is another way our people lead the field. As a Fellow, Ryan will have access to exclusive education programs + leadership roles, and will have the opportunity to mentor the next generation of marketing leaders.

How are we celebrating Ryan?

He + the others recognized in the SMPS Class of 2025 Fellows will be honored at Amplify A|E|C. The national conference will take place August 6-8 in Columbus, Ohio (back where it all started for Ryan!).
