Yerba Buena Center for the Arts hosts programming for dance, music + theater performances, exhibitions, public art, and screenings. Schaefer evaluated the facility’s rigging system which is primarily supported from a tension grid that hangs from the concrete roof. The center wanted to determine the existing + allowable rigging loads, and review tension grid frames, perimeter truss points + east soffit support points.
