Abandoned in 2008 mid-construction due to the previous owner’s issues, The Kenwood Collection site came back to life in 2014. The tower stands 16 stories, nine of which will be 275,000 sq ft of office space. The offices are above two stories of retail all over five stories of parking.

Because the open steel structure had been exposed to the elements for six years, Schaefer developed the existing structure’s inspection criteria that was used to evaluate potential damage and corrosion prior to the start of construction.

Design changes from the existing structure’s layout included expanded floor plates on the office floors. The office space also received a new entry structure and canopy as well as new stairwells through the existing post-tensioned parking levels.

On the very top of the office space, a new penthouse level supports its iconic roof.
