Joined Schaefer in 2020

When I was a kid, I enjoyed building with construction toys such as Lego, K’nex + Erector sets. In school, I gravitated towards science, but still believed I wanted to be an architect. I took a few architecture classes as a high school senior and realized I had limited art skill, so engineering was a natural fit for college.

Before joining, I was aware of Schaefer’s quality + diversity in the structural engineering industry. When the opportunity arose to join the team, I had to take advantage; it felt like the right step for my career + personal life. I have been impressed at the level of knowledge + resources available across the firm. Schaefer designs diverse projects, so I hope to continue to be exposed to more project types + building materials that I have not had the chance to work with thus far.
