Schaefer President Greg Riley joins American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Ohio’s virtual panel that will discuss experiences + insights on implementing employee resource groups. The event will take place on December 12, 2023.
Diversity + inclusion first appeared as a focused initiative in Schaefer’s 2021 annual plan, and a women’s employee resource group was one of the first deliverables that the committee produced. With Greg as an active champion, the committee has executed quarterly events ranging from networking + career development forums to hosting external speakers. The committee has surveyed the firm to continue to produce both all-firm + women’s-only programming that resonates with our people.
Greg joined Schaefer nearly three decades ago, moving through the ranks from design engineer to management, to taking on the role of president in 2017. As head of the largest structural engineering firm in Cincinnati, his responsibilities have transitioned to strategic planning, firm management, leadership development, community involvement + advocacy. He leads or oversees Schaefer’s continuous efforts to nurture culture + successfully compete in an increasingly challenging industry landscape. He continues to inspire his team towards continued success, innovation + leadership.
