Congratulations to Schaefer President Greg Riley, PE, SE, the recipient of Allied Construction Industries (ACI) Distinguished Service Award. He accepted the award at ACI’s Fourth Annual Leadership Awards Luncheon on November 2.

While Schaefer has been an active member in the organization for many years, Greg accepted a larger role as a part of the membership committee about four years ago, reaching out to members and non-members as well as attending most events. Collectively, Greg and the rest of the committee have worked diligently to grow membership.

“I’m honored to receive ACI’s Distinguished Service Award,” remarked Greg. “Our firm has valued our ACI membership; it has given us opportunities to meet new people, learn new trends and become better stewards of our industry. ACI is the type of organization that can speak to every level of team member within a firm. For us, our past president recently shared his lessons learned as a presenter, one of our modelers is a leader within the YP group and we even send our student workers to events. Not every organization can provide continuous opportunities for members as they grow in their career like ACI does.”

Award winners were chosen through a nomination process and recognized in front of their peers at ACI’s Leadership Awards Luncheon at Cooper Creek Event Center. They were chosen based on their contributions to their firms and the industry through their work with ACI.
