Jacob joins Schaefer in the Columbus office.

1. Favorite sports and teams?

I am a big fan of the Cleveland Guardians, The Ohio State Buckeyes, Columbus Blue Jackets, and (unfortunately) the Cleveland Browns.

2. Most prized possession/what you couldn’t live without (outside of family and friends)?

I have a lucky pair of socks that I have worn to every exam and presentation since starting college.

3. What are your hobbies?

I enjoy playing my trumpet and accordion.

4. What is the most extreme thing you have ever done?

When I was in Boy Scouts, my troop went to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico where we did a 12-day backpacking trek through the mountains covering around 70 miles.

5. What’s your favorite day of the week?

Thursday, because it’s almost Friday.

6. Why you chose to work/live in Columbus?

I moved to Columbus for school and I stuck around because it’s close enough to home that I can visit frequently but it still has many amazing opportunities and things to do.

7. What’s on your bucket list?

I want to learn to ride a unicycle.

8. Quote to live by.

“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, either way you’re right.” -Henry Ford

9. What is a skill that you don’t have, but wish you did?

I wish I could play the piano.

10. If you could design a structure anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Downtown Cleveland. I think it would be cool to leave an impact on the skyline of the city I’m from.
