Read below to learn about Galen!
1. Favorite thing to do off the clock?
I love to try a new coffee shop, read a book, or wander around an art museum (often to appreciate the architecture just as much as the art).
2. If you weren’t in this profession, what would you be?
In another life I would’ve loved to be a curator for an art museum!
3. Favorite sports and teams?
I love football – I always root for the Texas A&M Aggies + married into a Green Bay Packers family, so I guess that makes me a cheesehead?
4. Most prized possession/what you couldn’t live without (outside of family and friends)?
My Stanley water bottle comes with me everywhere. I got one about four years ago and I don’t think I’ve gone a day without it since.
5. What are your hobbies?
I’m a serial hobbyist… I like cycling, reading, camping, any kind of arts and crafts, pickleball, golf, photography, travel, SCUBA diving, you name it!
6. What’s your biggest pet peeve?
When someone is afraid to try something new!
7. What is the most extreme thing you have ever done?
Speaking of trying new things… I bungee jumped off a 700 ft bridge in South Africa! It was truly terrifying.
8. What’s on your bucket list?
I think it would be fun to participate in a community theater production.
9. What would you sing at karaoke?
Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield, and the better question is how many times I’ve performed it…
10. If you could design a structure anywhere in the world, where would it be?
New York City, of course! I love visiting New York and usually spend my time there looking up at all the buildings. There’s also so many interesting constraints with the underground rail system and limited access + space for construction, so I think it would be very challenging (and therefore rewarding!).
