I love to go on adventures with my people! Anything from trying a new park to traveling internationally.

I have two accents, and I often don’t realize when I switch between them.

My husband, Si, is my favorite travel companion. We have two adventurous kids, Leo + Jolie.
4. What do you want to accomplish in the next five years?
I want to see more of the world with my family + friends.

I’m generally risk-averse, but sometimes there’s no way around it. The Karakoram Highway + Jeep track to Nanga Parbat stand out.
6. What’s your signature dish to cook for family and friends?
Salmon + green beans on Sunday, Bobotie on special occasions.
7.Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
I recently discovered Augusta Savage at the Cleveland Museum of Art. I’m fascinated by her work and her incredible talent, tenacity + grit. Close to home, my family is my biggest inspiration. Each one of them has done something incredible, and bearing such close witness to their stories has galvanized me and shaped my view of the world.
8. What’s on your bucket list?
Portraits are my favorite type of art. I would love to master that skill.
9. Quote to live by.
“Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most.” – Abraham Lincoln
“Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point.” – C.S. Lewis
10. What has been the most rewarding initiative you’ve accomplished since joining Schaefer?
The most rewarding initiative has been serving on our D+I committee and helping to found Women at Schaefer, our first ERG.
