Richelle is our newest structural engineer in our Cincinnati office. We’re happy to have her as a part of our team!
1. Where are you from?
I was born in Plantation, Florida. I moved to Michigan for college.
2. Favorite thing to do off the clock.
Watching Netflix and relaxing.
3. What are your hobbies?
I enjoy traveling, running, reading and playing video games.
4. What is the most extreme thing you have ever done?
When I studied abroad in France, we had an adventure weekend. We went river rafting, via ferrata, and canyoning in the Swiss Alps. Via ferreta is a protected climbing route but if you slip, you’d easily slam into a rock. Canyoning started out by being dropped off a bridge a few stories high into a cold river with a simple pulley system that almost broke for one of the other travelers in our group. It was a risky weekend, but definitely worth the adventure.
5. What’s on your bucket list?
I’d like to travel more of the world. I want to go back to Europe and visit Italy again as well as Spain. I also want to eventually visit New Zealand and Australia.
6. What would you do with $1 million?
I would vacation with my family in Bora Bora. Hopefully I would still have some money left for a rainy day.
7. If you weren’t in this profession, what would you be?
If I wasn’t an engineer, I would pursue a profession in mathematics.
8. What’s your favorite day of the week?
Thursday because it was, at one time, the end of the week for me.
9. What’s your signature dish to cook for family and friends?
I don’t have many recipes but I make a pretty good tuna salad.
10. Quote to live by.
“To strive, to seek, to find and not to yield.”
