Alamar Park

Alamar ParkAvondale, Arizonaserve The master-planned community of Alamar embarked on an $18 million park project in collaboration between Brookfield Residential + City of Avondale. All of the structures were designed with irregular roof systems, and as such, required custom framing conditions, which Schaefer was able to design within budget. Wyman Woods | Grandview Heights, Ohio

Wyman WoodsGrandview Heights, Ohioserve Wyman Woods, a city park open year-round, contracted Schaefer for renovations and additions to its existing structure that is currently used by daily visitors and for large events. The addition added 400 sq ft for new restrooms and a new clearstory, an area in which windows rise above the roofline. This clearstory also gives a view of the exposed wood trusses. A new canopy structure and new barn doors replacing the existing overhead doors made the facade more welcoming. Small renovations throughout the facility solidified the structure and made it safety and code compliant for the coming years.
