what inspired you to pursue structural engineering?
I enjoy being a curious person, and I knew pursuing a career that encourages me to understand the world around me would keep me challenged + interested. Architecture has been another interest of mine, so Architectural Engineering was a great mix between creativity + critical thinking.
why did you choose to join schaefer?
I chose to join Schaefer because of the variety of projects, the culture and the learning opportunities. I was intrigued as a student after seeing some of the entertainment projects Schaefer had completed, so I applied to be a co-op. During my two rotations as a co-op, I had the opportunity to meet and work with many different modelers + engineers, and I found the environment to be very friendly and supportive. I felt that my learning was prioritized and that I was encouraged to try a multitude of project types.
