The Schaefer internship and co-op program provides opportunities for students to apply classroom methodology to hands-on modeling and design. The student’s Schaefer co-op advisor, mentor and the assigned project team coordinate to ensure the learning experience is relevant and challenging. Successful internships and co-op rotations may lead to full-time employment, as evidenced by our present staff of dedicated and talented structural engineers and modelers, many of whom were students here themselves. Generally, structural engineer internships are welcome for summer hire; co-op positions are offered year-round based on semesters.
