For the third year in a row, Schaefer is sponsoring the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Annual Celebrity Charity Golf Classic. Foursomes will tee off at the Wedgewood Golf & Country Club August 3 at 8:00AM. The day event also includes a silent auction. This year, the event hosted by the SMPS Columbus chapter, will benefit The Maria Tiberi Foundation, an organization that educates teens about distracted driving and supports local media and graphics art students through a scholarship fund.
“The annual golf outing attracts the A/E/C firms that are designing and building the changes in our city and region,” remarked Ryan Konst, Schaefer Vice President and past SMPS Columbus president. “It’s hard to find a better event to meet with our region’s top developers, architects and consultants. SMPS has been an unbelievable resource for our firm; it has opened doors to partnerships and opportunities that we wouldn’t have had access to without.”
The SMPS golf outing is an annual event. Each year, the charity supported is chosen by the Honorary Chair; 2015’s is Dom Tiberi, Columbus sports reporter. The Maria Tiberi Foundation was founded in his daughter’s name.
