March Madness Music Festival
Phoenix, Arizona

Schaefer did the structural design for the temporary stages for 2017’s March Madness Music Festival at Margaret T. Hance Park in Phoenix, Arizona. The three-day music event, that complements the NCAA Final Four basketball tournament, hosted performers like Aerosmith, Keith Urban, The Chainsmokers, and many more. The stage, 60 ft wide x 60 ft deep and 50 ft tall surrounded by 40 ft wide sound bays, was constructed with aluminum truss roof surrounded by steel scaffold upstage walls and side walls. It was erected for the March 31-April 2 festival, and promptly disassembled the following day.

March Madness Music Festival in Phoenix was Schaefer’s fifth year designing temporary stages for the event. Find out more about how we design stages for these events with safety as the goal.
