Today is a good day, a day that started four years ago on April 1, 2013 when we became Schaefer, aligning our brand with our best and strongest attributes. Today, our entertainment division, Entertainment Structures Group (ESG), becomes a part of Schaefer.
ESG began in 2002 with a group of employees who were passionate about special and temporary structures, theaters and rigging, passions that developed an entertainment division of the firm. Because the entertainment market requires unique strategies and skillsets, Schaefer (at that time, Steven Schaefer Associates, Inc.) spun off the division into its own entity in order for the group to focus time and effort on growing ESG’s experience, service offerings and market share. It has since thrived becoming a national name in the entertainment industry.
Even though ESG was promoted separately, it has always been a part of Schaefer – we sit in the same offices and share the same water cooler. Together, we’ve collaborated to deliver strong, smart solutions for all of our clients.
Now the timing is right to bring our family back together. After a successful rebrand of Steven Schaefer Associates, Inc. to Schaefer, we are ready to support and continue to build our entertainment business as one company. Our firm is more efficient and will continue to be by streamlining our services and communications, focusing on one strong brand with a diverse service offering. Formally branding ESG as Schaefer will allow us to, as always, put our customers first and continue to delight them and their clients alike, with solid work and surprising new structures that lead the industry.
